GETTING TO LORETO
Loreto has an International Airport located 3 km south of Loreto and 7 km north of Nopolo. They are building a new terminal to keep up with the increased traffic of this new destination resort. There is a small bar and gift shop in the Departures terminal. The airport has rental car agencies including Budget, Hertz, and Eurocar as well as Shuttle Services.
- Aereo Calafia has flights in and out of Loreto from both Cabo San Lucas and Ciudad Obregon (on the mainland) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Air charters and air taxis can also be arranged. Phone: 613 135 2503 or www.aereocalafia.com.mx

- Alaska Airlines has round trip service between Loreto and Los Angeles 4 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Horizon Air, Alaska Airlines' sister carrier, will offer a Saturday service from LAX to Loreto on January 19, 2008, to expand the service for Alaska Airlines. HOW TO MAKE A CALL IN LORETO
Making a simple telephone call has a complex range of possibilities and questions. Where is the call originating from and being directed? Are you using a landline or a cell phone? Is the call local or long distance? Not all cell services work in Loreto and currently ATT / Cingular has the best service from the USA. Inquire with your service provider to include a Mexico rate plan to have your phone operate here without roaming charges. Alternatively, you can buy a Telcel cell phone for less than $50 USD and buy minutes whenever you come to town. Here is a quick guide to making calls to and from Loreto.
